The results of the Student Council elections for the 2009-2010 school year are as follows:
As a new officer, don’t forget to attend the meeting on Wednesday, May 6 at 2:35. Location to be announced.
As of 2:35 on Friday, those included on the following ballots have expressed interest in running for a class office. We ask that you ensure that you are correctly placed on the ballot. If you see a problem, please Contact Us or email Eric at eric.chin@creekstuco.com detailing the problem.
Please note that anyone interested in running for an executive office may not run for the class office of President, Vice-President, Secretary, or Treasurer.
The ballots are arranged according to the grade in which you are currently enrolled.
If you have a question about the election, try looking at the previous two posts, or ask us.
At today’s meeting, we primarily discussed the upcoming election. The election will take place during all lunches beginning April 22, ending April 24. To be placed on the ballot, you must complete the information provided in the previous post, according to your grade level.
These elections will be for class office. Each class has four offices: President, Vice-president, Secretary, and Treasurer. In addition to these four, each class will have a single representative for each fifty students in the entire class. If you are currently a junior, looking to run for a class office for next year, please be aware that you must have been active in Student Council during your junior year.
Elections for executive office will follow those of the class offices. Candidates for executive office must have been elected to as a class representative (i.e. not President, Vice-president, Secretary, or Treasurer) prior to running for an executive office. There are 9 executive offices for election. These elections will be conducted in four parts: popular vote, teacher recommendations, executive officer interview, faculty and staff interview.
The next meeting is scheduled for May 6th, following the elections.
Here is the paperwork for the 2009-2010 Student Council elections! Download the file that corresponds to the grade that you’re currently in, print it out, fill it out, and bring it to us. Then you will be placed on the ballot.
Also, be sure to attend the information meeting this Wednesday, April 15th! And remember: if you’re thinking about running for an office (class office or executive office and position), let us know by filling out this form!

From the Meeting
- GLOW DANCE will take place on March 28th from 8-11pm at Cypress Creek High School. We will begin selling t-shirts NEXT week on March 9th for $15 each. Sign up to help sell shirts during your lunch! Starting March 23rd, we will begin selling tickets, so we will need help during that week as well. And finally, if your parent would like to volunteer at the dance, he/she will need to complete a parent volunteer form. As a bonus, you will earn double points for their work! (I.E. 2 hours = 4 points)
- New Grading Period. That means a new point requirement. Due to the volume of point possibilities, we will require 15 points this 6 weeks. To summarize, you can earn points by selling tickets or tshirts, bringing in water for the dance (every 6 packaged bottles = 1 hour), parental aid during the dance, and pennies for patients. We’re sure there are going to be more possibilities, so keep looking for more opportunities!
Fill out this form if you read this, and you might get a reward!
